Electra started off in 1979, as a small outfit, preparing race and rally cars for enthusiasts, and friends from all over the country. At this time tuners in the country were an experienced and dedicated lot, and there was plenty to be learnt from them. Electra worked in harmony with the top tuners in the country, and even some in UK and Australia, and rapidly learnt the ropes of fine tuning .

Soon Electra was building cars for top drivers in the country, both in rallying and circuit racing. This in turn brought in a wealth of knowledge, which was steadily growing. With this knowledge Electra now brings to the Indian Enthusiast the Ideal road going, or "STREET " CAR, as it is fondly known.

It has been a dream at Electra to take its wealth of tuning experience to the "STREET" And now the day has come. Engineering a road going car, with punch, oomph and drive ability, has been the watchword in developing performance kits. Performance was always a passion , and now ELECTRA brings it to the Nation. Electra has produced Racing and Rallying Champions for several years and endeavours to continue the tradition.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
To take performance to higher levels of tune Electra is in the process of developing programmable control units for select Indian cars. Presently available are Engine management systems for the Honda City.

HIGH END PERFORMANCE At Electra several cars have undergone engine transplants and serious modifications. These include several Mitsubishi Lancers transformed to 170 BHP & also J.D.Madan’s record shattering Lancer, the SPEED RUN 2005 WINNER.
